A little about me

Since childhood I have loved vintage pieces and creating individual looks which has taken me through fashion to upholstery. Drawn to colour as opposed to neutrals, I like to introduce this to my work whether that’s a subtle splash, a bit of multicoloured pattern, or a full on riot.

Although I now live in Bristol, I grew up in Angus, East Coast Scotland, a region that has many beautiful Glens. Glen Prosen is one of those and was the playground and birthplace of my mum who taught me my sewing skills. Having passed away in 2021, Lyn Prosen Upholstery in name is my small tribute to her.

Currently (March 2025) I am in the last few months of completing Association of Master Upholsterers & Soft Furnishers Diploma. The 3rd and final year being at South West Upholstery School having completed years 1 & 2 at Bristol Upholstery Collective.
